We've been on a mini-vacation around the state searching for October colors and tones. Today, we're at Walnut Canyon, but more on that later. Yesterday we spent the day in the mighty Grand Canyon. We hiked the rim and went to several interesting presentations. We also stayed for sunset and the moonrise.
There is nothing....and I mean this.....NOTHING! like the moon coming up over the Grand Canyon. There weren't any tourists.....just me, a friend, and a couple mice and rat. When I write that I totally got lost in the photo shoot, I absolutely mean it. I really never lose reality unless I have my camera in front of me and something spectacular is going on.......and apparently, I talk a bit while taking my pics.

It was definitely worth the wait. In fact, I would say that this was a very exciting photo opportunity. We just stood gawking like little kids on the brilliant move over one of the natural wonders of the world. Life is good.
Nice colors! That sounds as nice as I hear visiting the S Rim, when it clears after a winter snowfall...oooh...
