I'm taking just a little break from the tree series:) Get outside tonight and this weekend to snap some pictures of our Supermoon. We will have a super full moon which means that there will be a larger brighter moon this weekend. The last time this event happened was back in 1983 and won't happen again for another 18 years!! Our moon will appear 14 percent larger than it normally does. The optimal time for the "Super Full Moon" spotting is just after it clears the horizon on Saturday evening, so get your digital cameras out and shoot some lunar beauty, pending a clear line of sight, of course. Here are a couple of my shots from tonight.
Magical clarity! I love digital cameras.
Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, you have some great shots there. I can't imagine getting such a great image with my poor camera...digital or otherwise.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the super moon info. I was outside last night and thought it was an unusually bright moon.
I posted all the Farmer's Almanac moon names over on my blog. I'll try for a better shot tonight.
