These are lovely Chris, so pretty and delicate. Hope all is well with you, the weather is thoroughly miserable again here but the celebrations continue to brighten the dull days.
We have have them all over our gardens this time of year. They are known as the Queen butterfly....at first glance, they look like monarchs...So many butterflies here right now. It's amazing how the heat get the party started!
Love all the butterfly photos. This year there seems to be a super abundance of them in my gardens here along the shores of Lake Michigan in USA. They add lots to the garden. Jack
They are very beautiful because of the pale plants around them. They are like fairies! I think they are Danaus species too like the monarchs. We have one Danaus species also in our yard sometimes. I wonder why yours are all there when there are no flowers, maybe depositing their eggs. But are those plants milkweed too?
Looks better than the one playing on over here in Europe!
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is WOW. These are gorgeous shots and I love the butterflies. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of a beautiful butterfly. They look so ephemeral and delicate - like fairies dancing among the flowers. Thanks for sharing :)
