The softer side of our desert is quite lovely. During the time of this shoot, Sulphur butterflies owned the airwaves:)
Attracted to Salvia, these butterflies floated from one flower to the next.
Fragile. Soft.
Really....just perfection.

It's amazing how far their range may be. They are the exact same butterflies over at the Göteborg botanical Gardens this past summer.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous, especially the first pic and the last flight shot. That butterfly is a bit like our Brimstone (Gonepteryx rhamni), one of the earliest spring species :)
ReplyDeletePretty!!! I used to enjoy going to Chula Vista Park off Ina Road...we were members, and watching all the butterflies and enjoying the colors of Spring and Autumn in that park!!! This post reminded me of the area.
