The Great Blue Heron in flight

Blogger friends Magpie and Tracy made me curious about Herons.  And while I had already found a Great Blue Heron for the year, I wasn't expecting to find a Heron Rookery(nesting area) in Tucson.  Today's pic series focuses on my hunt for the Great Blue Heron and their rookery.  You'll see those pics soon.  But here are my captures of this magnificent bird in flight around the nests.

The Heron did a circle around the nests and eventually landed back into the area.  More tomorrow...
