The Pecan Festival

Here are some images from tonight's Pecan Festival in Green Valley.   We were sitting at the booth for Northwest Urgent care and while we were enjoying our hot chocolate and conversation, several of these images caught my eye.  Tonight brings wind and rain to the Old Pueblo.  As the wind picked up in Green Valley, the hanging animals began to gallop in the air.
 The sunset was magical....
.....as were the hands of this woman.  I watched her as she carefully organized her table.  For some reason, it put a calming spell on me.
The group, 80's and the Gentlemen, performed tonight and it was so much fun.  They played 80's tunes all night long.....and they were good.  We had a nice time and ate way too much food, but isn't that what festivals are for?  Green Valley has acres and acres of pecan trees and yes....we ate pecans:)
Here's a little vid from tonights performance.....

Madera Canyon

A random road trip 45 minutes south of Tucson led us to the magical park of Madera Canyon.  Christmas music playing in the background during a cloudy and cold day made this Sunday feel like the holiday season. Here are some pics to show off our "fall color" during the holiday season:)
I love this park for the branch structure.  It's a truly unique place to find some really different kinds of trees.

Several bed and breakfast are located along the road.
