And the plant stand is beautiful for an urban garden setting, similar to some of my posts earlier for ornamental plants. I also have 3 pots of veggies on my condominium ledge outside the window, they are growing beautifully if not for the small birds. I wish i know how to shoo them away. They just maybe for fun cut off the leaves one by one. They are just left there, fallen on the floor. They are getting my patience off! I noticed they don't eat the onion and garlic though, but they love the tomato and Ipomoea leaves. My children liked mud, dirt, and insects in the garden as a child but haven’t gained the pleasure of growing plants as a young adult. But never mind, they come to like it out of necessity or as they get older. My newly-wed daughter started growing vegetables in the pots for cooking. Growing plants is so nice as it teaches us the art of waiting and how the earth works. Have fun with your students in “vegetable journey”.

Yokostardusthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10684501661629146087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4196318759342517444.post-9926508945233006392012-03-23T07:38:03.107-07:002012-03-23T07:38:03.107-07:00You are a great teacher and you are giving your gi...You are a great teacher and you are giving your gifts a great gift!Jillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07343040992394808973noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4196318759342517444.post-81344203463173426662012-03-23T07:00:37.362-07:002012-03-23T07:00:37.362-07:00love that you're showing the students. i grew ...love that you're showing the students. i grew up w/ my mother's huge garden. but most kids don't get to experience that Wis. life...TexWisGirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13641962051044162710noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4196318759342517444.post-46799491865894739292012-03-23T04:49:27.557-07:002012-03-23T04:49:27.557-07:00Great project for the students and you!!! :)Great project for the students and you!!! :)Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12220238404223196571noreply@blogger.com
